Industrial Hardwood is a Pennsylvania corporation and has been operating
at it's current site since 1967. In 1986 it closed it's sawmill and
woodworking manufacturing facilities and became a wholesale lumber
distributor selling both green and kiln-dried lumber in the Northeast and
Midwest areas of the United States and the Toronto and Montreal areas in
Canada. It does limited exporting through domestic brokers mostly to Spain
and Greece and has container loading facilities. Industrial
Hardwood operates four (4) kilns (1 dehumidification and 3 conventional)
with a total capacity of 200,000' per charge on a 4/4 basis. The company
operates it's own trucks and has open, closed, and kiln-dry storage
facilities. Yearly production is 6,000,000 bf. Located in the heart of the
Appalachian Mountains, half way between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, just
north of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and area known for it's extensive
soft-textured hardwood forest.
